Brief Description Rectangular metal case with pull-up lid, which holds 24 tubes of hypodermic and ophthalmic solutions and tablets. The tubes are secured by a push-up metal bar and lid to a separate compartment. The case has a contents list inside the lid but no labels to indicate the kit manufacturer. All of the tubes of solutions or tablets were manufactured by Felton, Grimwade and Duerdins Pty. Ltd., except for the Adrenalin .0003 tablets which were manufactured by Tromax Limited., Manufacturing Division of Sigma Co. Ltd. The larger tubes are secured by the metal bar and the smaller tubes are separated in an adjoining compartment in the case with an internal lid. The tube holding the Adrenalin .0006G and others are missing from the original set. History of Object This item was originally donated to the Victorian Branch of the Australian Medical Association. The A.M.A. donated its historical collection of documents and artifacts to the University of Melbourne's Medical History Museum in 1994.
