Brief Description Set of bronchoscopy and oesophagoscopy instruments made by P. Pilling and Son Company, Philadelphia, U.S.A., made to the Chevalier Jackson design and owned by Dr. F.W. Stone. Instruments are held in black leatherette-covered wooden case, with brass corners andleather-covered handle. Case has three wooden and one metal tray compartments. Brass instruments include laryngoscopes, slidelamps, aspirating tubes, forceps, clips, spongeholders (metal) and oesophagoscopes (metal with signs of original gold plating). History of Object This set of bronchoscopy and oesophagoscopy instruments was purchased by Dr. F.W. Stone in America after attending Chevalier Jackson's Clinic in Philadelphia in 1927.
