Electric light laryngoscope by Semen Versey's patent. Has synthetic handle with "point type" trigger and adjustable rheostat. A brass rod extends from the handle and the light is at the end of the rod. There is a small sliding clamp fixed to rod. Two electrodes emerge from top of handle to be connected to power source by green covered copper wire which has connecting plugs at each end and removable connectors.

Brief Description

Carwardine's saccharometer for the quantitative estimation of sugar in urine by the use of Fehling's Solution. Consists of graduated measure, 3 test tubes and 2 ring grips. In box with instructions on inner lid. 2 glass pipettes and corked test tube are also included but do not seem to have been part of the original set.

History of Object

The originally catalogued set was replaced in 1996 with a better preserved version, although the second hand grip ring (.6) was retained from the original set to complete the better one.
