	Brief Description Dieulafoy's Aspirator set containing: exhausting pump with metal frame, glass barrel and leather washer; 1 trocar with canula; 1 trocar without canula; 2 rubber tubes with metal nozzles (for attaching to canulae); vulcanite handle for inserting tocars and canulae; glass tube of wires for cleaning trocars; and leatherette case with purple velvet and felt lining. History of Object This item was originally donated to the Medical Society of Victoria (which later became part of the Victorian Branch of the Australian Medical Association). The A.M.A. donated its historical collection of documents and artifacts to the University of Melbourne's Medical History Museum in 1994. Originally donated by Dr. Archibald Macdonald.
