Brief Description

Glass bottle with neck and moulded glass stopper with bobble top. Metal cylinder and screw-on top to accommodate neck and shape of stopper, for protecting medicine bottle in doctor's case.

History of Object

This item belonged to Dr. Patrick Cody, who was a radiologist with a practice in Spring Street. Dr. Patrick Cody's sons Stephen and Damian Cody donated their father's medical instruments to the Medical History Museum on 10 October 1996.

Brief Description

Metal canister with screw-on lid and glass tumbler which fits into base of canister. Inside tumbler is a circular cardboard tablet box, entitled "Repatriation General Hospital, Caulfield TABS. Mepacrine Hy.d 0.1 Grm." Tablet contents were destroyed.

History of Object

Brief Description

Large earthenware jar with cream-coloured glaze and black-painted labelling. Jar has a flat base, cylindrical body which tapers in to form a very narrow neck, and a small opening with broad lip. Handle is attached between the top of the jar and the neck.
