Brief Description Black metal tablet tin with hinged lid and hinged metal clasp, containing thirteen bottles and four tubes, each bottle being numbered and containing Burroughs Wellcome & Co. products. All products identified by labels and by card pasted inside lid. Bottles and tubes are fitted into individual metal divided compartments. Bottles are metal capped, with red on white labels (engraved on lid). History of Object Given to Sir Lance Townsend (Dean of Medicine, University of Melbourne (1971-77) during the African campaign in the 1940s. Donated by Lady Townsend.
