Brief Description Flatters and Garnett micro projector, with cast three leg base, horizontal bed with lamp, slide holder and lens system with revolving triple nosepiece. Lamp connected by plug and cable to 230 volt to 12 volt 4 amp. transformer. Unit made by Flatters and Garnett Ltd., London c.1930. Serial number 1352. For class use. Brief Description Photo micrographic attachment for reducing shutter vibration when photographing microscope slides. Apparatus has eyepiece, detachable magnifying lens, shutter and shutter timer dial and prism. Also attachable 2 cable release mechanism, 3 cables and microscope attachment. Cable release mechanism firstly activates the cable which springs the internal prism out of the light path, the second cable activates the shutter mechanism. Photo micrographic atttachment used monocular as well as binocular microscopes with a triangular head. Apapretus held in a maroon leatherette case with a black synthetic lining. History of Object This photo micrographic attachment was donated with a collection of microscopes by Dr. Geoffrey Allwood in January 1995.
