Brief Description Set of minor operation instruments comprising fifteen instruments, one packet of hare lip pins with ring heads, one packet of needles and three hooks on a chain. Made by Mathews, London c.1885. History of Object This case belonged to Dr. William Robert Fox of North Fitzroy. He graduated from Melbourne University in 1883 and was one the pioneers of Radiology in Melbourne. Fox completed 5th year at Melbourne Medical School, but went to the UK and graduated from Edinburgh RCP RCS, 1883. He returned to practice in Melbourne in 1884.
