	Brief Description Set of eight trephining instruments in wooden rectangular box with red felt lining. One instrument is missing. Box has a brass plaque on lid. Made by Savigny & Co. London, c.1840. History of Object This set of instruments belonged to Edward Barker , the first Lecturer in Surgery at the University of Melbourne. Materials and Finishes Brass, metal and wood.
